Comedy, magic and hilarious mayhem surround the young lovers featured in Shakespeare's most beloved stage production - A Midsummer Night's Dream- during the 2016 St. Louis Shakespeare Festival.The stage atForest Park in downtown St. Louis comes alive, as four, young Athenian lovers and six amateur actors are manipulated by the forest fairies and mischievous Puck in this hilarious comedy.
Before the headline attraction, enjoy light entertainment, and a pre-show picnic during the Green Show. The Intro to the Show features a 20-minute adaptation of the main stage production that introduces guests to the play's plot and characters. Actors from the Shakespeare Squadron training program perform the Intro Show. Family art activities like paper crafts, music making, puppet shows keep the little ones entertained before the show. Nightly backstage tours are offered for guests who want to learn more about the Festival, meet the stage crew and enjoy behind-the-scenes look at the production.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is performednightly at 8pm (except Tuesdays) from June 3rd through June 26th at the Forest Park Shakespeare Glen in downtown St. Louis.
