Since its inception in 2003, the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival has grown to become one of the most noteworthy jazz events in the Midwest.This year’s festival promises to continue the tradition of celebrating important Jazz institutions and bringing excellent music to the public. The festival includes a full roster of live performances by notable jazz legends and local musicians over the three-day-long event.
Celebrate with headline concert performances by the John Pizzarelli Quartet, the University of Missouri-St. Louis Jazz Ensemble and the M.F. All Star Band. Exciting big band performances and a tribute to jazz great, Maynard Ferguson, round out the melodious, toe-tapping schedule.
Local and regional high school student musicians also benefit from the festival’s unique educational programs. 800 students are invited to enjoy opportunities that nurture young talent by including clinics, mentor programs and side-by-side performances with visiting world-class musicians.
The Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival runs from April 21-23, 2016. Concerts are at 8pm.
