Erected in 1922, the Chase Park Plaza Hotel opened to celebration and praise. Boasting state-of-the-art building practices and artistic Art Deco architectural features, the hotel was a modern marvel when it opened.
The hotel’s first iteration included 320 luxurious suites, a 300-car garage and a first level filled with upscale shops and restaurants. In 1940, the Chase opened its much-anticipated 10th-floor venue – the Starlight Roof and Zodiac Cocktail Lounge. This innovative new dining and entertainment venue offered guests sweeping views of the city skyline and Forest Park.
The 50’s and 60’s ushered in an endless array of big-name entertainers at the Chase Club, including names like Buddy Moreno, Sophie Tucker and Tommy Dorsey.
Over the years, the Chase Park Plaza Hotel has increased its size to encompass 1,700 luxurious guest rooms, opulent executive suites, a full service spa, a 5-screen movie theater, and a heated pool on the Mediterranean piazza. Today, the Chase Park Plaza Hotel continues to offer superior services and luxurious accommodations that earned it areputation for excellence that is still enjoyed today.
